The process of design, specification, engineering, manufacture and installation of a bin room building can be challenging, with the potential for disconnect between design and manufacture often resulting in project overspend or reduced scope of works. Traditional bin room buildings may fulfil their functional requirement but stop short of delivering a neat recycling centre as an attractive, welcoming facility that can be located in key circulation areas that invite use in places people feel safe.
metroSTOR PBH Bin Room Buildings address these challenges with a proven, highly configurable design system, available as pre-engineered and bespoke structures. There are 65 pre-engineered bin room buildings with metroSTOR PBH24 and PBH30 Bin Store Buildings designed to accommodate a single row of bin containers with side aisle access, while the metroSTOR PBH36, PBH42 and PBH48 Bin Store Buildings accommodate two rows of bin containers with central aisle access. Bespoke Bin Store Building dimensions and configurations along the same proven design platform are available.
Every metroSTOR product is UK manufactured in accordance with Streetspace BS EN 1090, ISO9001 and ISO14001 accredited processes and our steel frame finishes can be selected as hot-dip galvanised or colour powder coated with external panel types from timber or steel including laser-cut design patterns. Fire resistant liner systems can be added, access door size and locations selected along with access control types and optional green roof specifications.
Specifying metroSTOR PBM Bin Store Buildings is made easy with clear website information for configurations and options, while site-wide coordination of outdoor storage units and street furniture is possible with a library of CAD blocks and BIM models available for download.
To reduce fire risk if units cannot be located outside of the six metre recommended distance due to site constraints, metroSTOR PBH bin room buildings can be specified with fire-resistant wall and roof cladding options, with intumescent seals incorporated into the eaves detail.
