Our Process

Design & Manufacturing

With two production facilities in Kent and a continued investment in efficient processes and equipment, all Streetspace Group products and structures are manufactured here in the UK. Our R&D Centre operates advanced 3D CAD software for design analysis and procurement, manufacturing with consistent quality, regulatory compliance and short lead times with Industry 4.0 connectivity through our CNC machines.

Sheet metal CNC cutting, forming, pre-treatment and powder coating processes are completed at our Poulton Close factory in Dover, Kent. The majority of our components are also manufactured in house, with process lines servicing welding bays for fabrication of canopy structures, housings and street furniture. Finished components are shipped to our Hythe production facility, near Folkestone, for final assembly, packing and dispatch to site.

Streetspace design and production processes are carried out in accordance with the quality management procedures of ISO9001:2015, the environmental accountability of ISO14001 and BS EN 1090 CE marking for structural steel design and fabrication.

Project Management

Our project scope will often involve enabling works such as civil engineering, street works and M&E elements for reliable, effective, single-source procurement.

‘Total Project Delivery’ is the Streetspace design and construction model; where single-point accountability for design, documentation and build, ensures that your project is completed on time and with cost-certainty at each stage.

Delivery & Installation

Our skilled installation teams are fitting street furniture, bin stores, cycle parking products and shelters across the UK every day of the week, throughout the year and while it makes good sense for construction industry customers to utilise their own skilled trades, the capability to deliver, install and commission in a single operation removes the hassle and potential for unforeseen costs. Effective coordination between our Transport Planners and Project Managers ensures a safe and compliant site delivery, avoiding double handling, potential for damage and additional transport or re-visit costs.

Our trained installers are CSCS, CPCS, SSSTS, First Aid accredited and hold relevant NRSWA qualifications for the tasks in hand. The Streetspace installation and delivery fleet consists of both articulated and rigid vehicles equipped with offload facilities. All are GPS tracked, Euro 6 compliant and fully branded for security on the worksite.

Streetspace Site Engineers provide maintenance and repair services to group product installations throughout the UK with 24hr, 365-day availability. Replacement parts and mechanisms are stocked at our Kent manufacturing site with live availability on connected devices, enabling service and maintenance to be undertaken in accordance with the agreed resolution times.
