metroSTOR – Housemark Estate Services Club

metroSTOR Director Nigel Deacon has been invited to speak at Housemark’s next online Estate Services Club meeting on Wednesday, 16 March 2022.

In this session, Nigel will share his 10 golden rules for bin storage to help support Councils and Housing Associations on their journey to creating cleaner neighbourhoods. The golden rules encapsulate the fundamentals of good bin store design and management – capacity, accessibility, fire safety, security, ease of use, cleanliness and enforcement.

Nigel will be joined by Andrea Tidy, Estate Services Manager at the London Borough of Hounslow, who as a metroSTOR customer and Estate Services Club member will share her experience in applying this philosophy on a recent project that involved decommissioning refuse chutes in six high-rise blocks. She will describe the key issues they faced, how they tackled them, and the differences that the project has made within the community.

Nigel Deacon commented, “Many UK social housing providers are creating safer homes, better communities and a cleaner world in partnership with metroSTOR. We are delighted to be sharing our experience with the Estate Services Club.”
