Installing permanent all-weather canopies has enabled many schools to address distancing guidelines in response to the pandemic, as well as their longer-term need for extra dining and breakout space. With so much pressure on budgets, we find that many schools are heading into winter using designated outside spaces for year groups with little or no weather protection.

To enable more schools to benefit from covered outside space, we are now able to offer operating leases that meet the finance and accounting rules specific to the education sector to fund our canopy structures.

Payments can be made monthly for a term of up to 5-years, with a small fee at the end of the agreement granting ongoing use for the life of the structure.

Roy Deacon, Commercial Director at Streetspace, comments: ‘I speak to many schools that are either having to keep children inside during inclement weather, which they find difficult to supervise, or they are hiring temporary structures that are reducing capital they could have allocated to a permanent solution. I am delighted that we are now able to offer more flexibility to schools in deciding how best to use limited resources to address their short and long term space requirements.’
